Cover Reveal: Sentinel by Jennifer L. Armentrout

So along with the official release of Apollyon by Jennifer L. Armentrout (see my spew about that HERE), she went along and revealed the cover of the final installment, Sentinel. The exclusive original post about this is at Deity Island, but I'm going to share it on here as well. Ready? Here it is:

It feels a little plain compared to the other covers in the series, but I think it fits. Sentinel is going to be explosive, I can feel it, but I also know after the events in it, things will settle down into a small flame. I don't think there is a need to make the cover so fiery anymore, because pretty much everything has been revealed (well, I'm sure there will be twists and turns in this, but you know what I mean). This is the end of the Covenant Series *bawls*. I also think this cover could also represent Alex: At the start of this series, she was fiery, but callow and unconstrained. Quick to light the fuse, and quick to put out. But throughout the series, she matured and now she's a controlled fire, elegant and deadly. Pure power kept at bay. The fire looks like the shape of a rose to me. I think it represents her love for Aiden, like the crystal rose necklace. I thought of this just now: I think this cover could represent a sliver of hope too. After Apollyon, well, Alex is faced with a pretty hard decision, and she doesn't think it's going to end well whichever way she chooses. I feel like this small fire in the midst of darkness could represent that "there is still hope", after all JLA does like HEA's :). The cover is very simple, but I love it anyways. I'm feeling really good too, because I guessed it would be silver themed and it was. Yay! What do you guys think of the cover?
