Double Cover Reveal: Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout + Finding It by Cora Carmack

First post in July, Yay! Today we have for you two lovely covers to unveil: Origin (Lux #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout and Finding It (Losing It #3) by Cora Cormack! Both are part of fantastic series's, and of course, have fabulous covers themselves!

First up, Origin: *WARNING.* This is intense. Prepare yourselves. (Dani mentally passed out after seeing it, and is thus why she was unable to help type up this post.)

Synopsis:

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?

Okay. Here's the cover nice and big:

Ready?

Yeah, I thought so (Us JLA Junkies have been WAITING for this!).

I just have no words besides the L-word. I LOVE IT! At first both of us were a little miffed because it didn't match the same color scheme as the rest of the series. This one is more light colored, we see a chest...(ohmysweetgoodness), there's isn't Katy (that is foreboding), and we get a full body shot of Pepe/Daemon. But it is intense, and that makes up for all of the differences. My speculations: Daemon is going to go ballistic and turn into his Luxen form, light up the Daedalus building, swipe Katy out of her cell and possibly kill a few Arum and hopefully Blake along the way, and make a run for it. Katy will probably be screaming at Daemon throughout this (why I think this, I do not know). Can't wait for the end of August! The ending to Opal is definitely the worst cliff-hanger I've experienced in all the books I've ever read, and Origin is my #1 most-looking-forward-to book of 2013! What to you guys think of this cover?

Next: Finding It!

Synopsis:

Most girls would kill to spend months traveling around Europe after college graduation with no responsibility, no parents, and no-limit credit cards. Kelsey Summers is no exception. She's having the time of her life...or that's what she keeps telling herself.

It's a lonely business trying to find out who you are, especially when you're afraid you won't like what you discover. No amount of drinking or dancing can chase away Kelsey's loneliness, but maybe Jackson Hunt can. After a few chance meetings, he convinces her to take a journey of adventure instead of alcohol. With each new city and experience, Kelsey's mind becomes a little clearer and her heart a little less hers. Jackson helps her unravel her own dreams and desires. But the more she learns about herself, the more Kelsey realizes how little she knows about Jackson.

And alas, here is the cover you've been wanting and waiting for: (it's sexy!!!)

Oooh how I love Cora Carmack. Her books have the cutest humor and the most hilarious awkward situations. I can guarantee smiles if you read her books (note: these are New Adult books, NOT YA!). Finding It follows the same pattern as the rest of her covers, and I love it just as much as all of the rest! Keeping Her (Losing #1.5--novella) is coming out mid-August, and Finding It is due to be out on October 1st, 2013. Can't wait for this one either!

About the Author:

Cora Carmack is a twenty-something writer who likes to write about twenty-something characters. She's done a multitude of things in her life-- boring jobs (like working retail), Fun jobs (like working in a theatre), stressful jobs (like teaching), and dream jobs (like writing). She enjoys placing her characters in the most awkward situations possible, and then trying to help them get a boyfriend out of it. Awkward people need love, too. Her first book, LOSING IT, is a New York Times and USA Today bestseller.

How is some cover love a way to start July?

  1. The ending of Opal killed me so I can't wait for Origin! Jennifer Armentrout said the cover is perfect for the book, which leads me to believe Daemon and Katy will not be together much in this book.

    1. From the teaser pics we definitely know they WILL have together time, but I'm quite concerned still. Gah! Can't wait for Opal.
