Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish event hosted by Breaking the Spine. This
is a meme that many book blogs participate in to goggle over highly
anticipated upcoming releases and fabulous covers and authors!
Today's WOW is Into the Sill Blue by Veronica Rossi, the final installment to the Under the Never Sky Trilogy. I remember when I first read Under the Never Sky's first few chapters, I wasn't impressed. But I made myself keep reading and found myself in love with the series after whipping through the rest of book 1. I practically tore Through the Ever Night apart within a few hours. And now, it is time for me to say goodbye with Into the Sill Blue.
Goodreads Synopsis:
Their love and their leadership have been tested. Now it's time for Perry and Aria to unite the Dwellers and the Outsiders in one last desperate attempt to bring balance to their world.
The race to the Still Blue has reached a stalemate. Aria and Perry are determined to find this last safe-haven from the Aether storms before Sable and Hess do-and they are just as determined to stay together.
Meanwhile, time is running out to rescue Cinder, who was abducted by Hess and Sable for his unique abilities. And when Roar returns to camp, he is so furious with Perry that he won't even look at him, and Perry begins to feel like they have already lost.
Out of options, Perry and Aria assemble a team to mount an impossible rescue mission-because Cinder isn't just the key to unlocking the Still Blue and their only hope for survival, he's also their friend. And in a dying world, the bonds between people are what matter most.
In this final book in her stunning Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi raises the stakes to their absolute limit and brings her epic love story to an unforgettable close.
Even months and months later, I'm still carrying around the shock of the events in Through the Ever Night. I truly hope Into the Still Blue will conclude this series beautifully. I don't want it to start out meh, get awesome, and end meh again. It has my attention. It needs to keep it.
I'm not too worried about Aria and Perry actually. I'm sure they'll end up together. The tragic part is my handsome Roar. It is imperative to me that Veronica Rossi lets things end on a happy note for him, with all the torment she decided to put him through during the last book. I will NOT be amused if she doesn't, because Roar is my favorite :)
During the cover reveal of Into the Still Blue a while ago, Shelf-Life of EW also released the first THREE chapters of it. Link below! I loved these chapters, and as long as the book keeps it up, I know Into the Still Blue will be magnificent. This is out January 28th, 2014, so only a few more months to go!
